Born in Redondo Beach, Cali. Nov.30th 1973. Lived in California till the age of 9 years then moved to Oklahoma City,Okla till the age of seventeen. Moving to Arizona and later to live in an intentional community called Arcosanti living there off and on for two and a half years were he learned bronze silt casting and metal work. Jonas Nash started painting at the age of 14 years of age oil painting mostly, painting emotional based art using painting as a release or therapy. After leaving Arcosanti Jonas went traveling with a circus by the name of Circus Flora, also working for ather smaller circus troops keeping an apartment in Mesa, Az as a studio for painting. At twenty four years of age moved to Juneau, Alaska and traveled the southern inlet for a year working as a cook and working on fishing boats. Then at twenty five moved to Australia traveled the southeastern Aus. ending up staying in Melbourne working as a cook and washing dishes hanging with a few local painters and becoming more serious about art, moving back to the states and to portland in late 1999 where to this date he still lives and works.
